Building a School, One Room at a Time
This is an invitation — not to give from obligation, but to participate in a cycle that restores dignity, stability, and possibility.
Each contribution becomes part of a living exchange: care flowing outward, and prosperity returning in ways both seen and unseen.
Churches and community groups can sponsor a fully finished classroom with a $1,250 gift.
Supporting the Next Phase of the School
Completing the New Horizon Learning Center in Kimbugu, Uganda
After successfully raising funds to install a new roof, the community has continued building the New Horizon Learning Center step by step. The school is now approximately halfway complete, with some classrooms finished and others still awaiting essential work.
Several rooms do not yet have windows, doors, paint, or flooring, and key facilities — including a kitchen and staff quarters — have not yet been constructed. Even completed rooms remain unfinished inside and out.
Support for this next phase will allow the school to move forward in practical stages, beginning with the most urgent needs identified by local leadership.
Current priorities include:
-
Purchasing seats and desks for students
-
Constructing a kitchen to support daily school operations
Additional phases will include completing unfinished classrooms, installing windows and doors, painting interior and exterior walls, building stairs in the back and staff quarters, installing solar lighting, and adding lightning protection for safety.
Current funding goal: $10,000
This support will help the community continue building sustainably — one essential step at a time.
Education, One Step at a Time
This school serves approximately 100 children in the Kimbugu community, providing a stable place to learn even as construction continues. Each completed improvement — a floor, a desk, a classroom — directly supports daily learning and consistency for students.
Opening Pathways for the Future
Access to education creates long-term opportunity. By supporting practical school infrastructure today, children gain the foundation they need to pursue meaningful work, stability, and choice later in life.
A Safe Place to Learn
For many students, the school is more than a classroom — it is a place of safety, care, and continuity. A functional learning environment allows children to study in dignity, supported by their community and teachers.
